Nā reira moe mai koutou, moe mai i roto i ngā Ariki, koutou kia koutou ko mātou rā ēnei ngā maramara o rātou ma, tēnā koutou, tēnā tātou katoa. Creative spaceAnother year, another journey, time to do things differently. Following the signing of our deed of settlement at Aotea we held four inspiring hui on our marae involving about 100 whānau working in small groups. People said ‘this is great but let’s get everyone together and share their thoughts about what’s next, what do we want to do with the settlement’. So see the panui for our next creative space on Sunday 12 February, from 1-4pm in the Helensville War Memorial Hall. Come along and have some fun, exercise your right brain – give it a go! Let’s see what you see, and what I see. Let’s paint a picture, create a vision! It’s all about engaging, having lots of conversations, and in the end - making it happen! Here are some of the ideas put forward from our hui last year:
Trustee mahiCurrently the Trustees are in the process of advertising for a Tumuaki Kaiarahi who will be in charge of an executive. We are also seeking independent directors for the commercial subsidiary, and members for the investment and audit, risk and finance committees. Trustees are working on their own brand of best practice governance with the Institute of Directors early February. Please note that the proposed AGM/SGM is postponed from 1 April to 1 September 2012. We are waiting for Crown approval of the proposed amendments to our Trust Deed. Parliamentary Counsel is finalising our Settlement Bill due to be introduced into Parliament early this year. We’ll keep you posted as to its progress. Look forward to seeing you on 12 February - we’ll get what we see! |
