Information hui are regularly held throughout the rohe on any one of the five marae at Reweti, Haranui, Kakanui, te Aroha Pa (Araparera) and Puatahi. Major decision-making must involve the whole claimant community and since the claim komiti has been actively moving this Treaty claim along, important decisions have always been put to hui-a-iwi for formal approval. Such decisions will affect you and the generations to come.

Currently the draft deed of settlement is posted here under Kaupapa/DoS, so you can read the results of years of negotiation between the Claim Komiti and the Crown, and prepare yourself to ask questions at the ratification hui so you can decide whether to vote yes or no during the postal ballot.
